Bonus Tip: Rybička Knife

If you're looking for a truly traditional and slightly geeky gift, check out the famous "Rybička" pocket knife. This small, fish-shaped knife is a classic Czech item, often used for mushroom picking — a favorite Czech hobby. You can pick one up at most knife shops, like 1. svět nožů (Václavské náměstí 28, Praha 1) or Nuz.cz (Národní 43, Praha 1), both conveniently located in the city center.

Final TipWhile exploring Prague, especially along the famous Royal Way (the route from the Powder Tower through Old Town Square to Prague Castle), you'll come across a lot of souvenir shops. Be careful — many of them sell low-quality souvenirs, overpriced trinkets, or random items like "cannabis" candy and "absinthe" that have very little to do with real Czech culture. These shops often look flashy but are mostly aimed at tourists and don't offer authentic products.

For the best gifts from Prague, it's worth stepping a little off the main path and visiting shops that focus on real Czech craftsmanship, like the ones listed above! Enjoy your shopping!
